Green Papaya Thai Restaurant

A friend recommended Green Papaya and after reading all the good reviews, we decided to give it a try — and I’m so glad we did! The experience was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the tentacle skewers, crispy pork, boat noodle soup, street fried rice, and sticky rice with durian dessert — and everything was just so good! The tentacle skewers were tender and flavorful, and the dipping sauce made it even better. The crispy pork is an absolute must-try — perfectly crunchy outside, soft inside, and still delicious even without the sauce. The street fried rice had that perfect smoky flavor, and the boat noodle soup was rich, bold, and comforting. But the highlight? The sticky rice with durian — out of this world! The sweet vanilla ice cream paired beautifully with the salty sticky rice and durian purée. It was unforgettable. (I was too excited to eat, so I forgot to take photos of most dishes!) Service was friendly and attentive, food came out quickly, and there’s plenty of parking at the back. Prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes. Definitely a place worth visiting — we’ll be back for sure!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great dining experience! The boat noodles were delicious with a rich, flavorful broth and a variety of toppings like pork, pork liver, meatballs, and crispy pork skin. The Tom Yum soup (shrimp version) was tangy and sweet, perfect for those who love sour flavors. The crispy fried pork was a highlight—super crispy and tender, especially with the dipping sauce. The fried fish with green apple slices was refreshing, though the fish had a slight earthy taste. The mango sticky rice was tasty, and the coconut ice cream paired well with it. The durian sticky rice from the special menu was a bit disappointing compared to the photo, but overall, the meal was enjoyable. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes!

Amazing food! Amazing staff! Why did I not know of this place before?! I would come back to try everything on the menu. The deep fried pork was crispy on the outside, yet meat is soft and tender inside. Tamarind sauce is so good. Som time, you can ask for extra spice- lip-tinglingly good! Chicken balls street food tastes authentic. Fish cakes were yummy too. Was so full from so much food, but we had to get dessert. The fried wrapped banana with chocolate drizzle is spot on. Just enough sweetness at the end of all the savoury dishes we ordered. They are so welcoming and attentive here too. They work quick but customers are not rushed. We savoured every tasty bite and even ordered take away so we could have more yummy Thai food at home later.

We had a great experience dining here at lunchtime. We didn't wait for long and the food was ready. The flavour was great, the person who served us was very friendly. We really enjoyed every dish, it was a bit spicy, but it was good spicy that we all enjoyed! My kid liked the coconut rice. There was plenty of free street parking available.

A very good Thai restaurant - food is very rich in flavour, but a little heavy. Overall we were satisfied with the food Service is amazing - very helpful and responsive. The place seems to be a little busy, but the staff is available all the time. Can definitely say we had a good experience with the food and the service. Few more chicken dishes on the menu would have been nice. On the little expensive side compared to other Thai places, but food is good. We will go there

Great hidden gem. We were welcomed with friendliness of the staff and the warmth of the restaurant as soon as we walked in. Huge menu consisting of great selections. Fantastic drink menu including many Thai drinks. We asked for recommendations as it was our first time, we left full and very happy. We will be back many times to try out other dishes. Come support this great, honest business!!
